I am trying to use BCP to import a fixed record length file into a Sybase table with about 250 columns. I am planning on going through the BCP prompts for each of the columns and then saving my responses to a format file. I do not, however, relish the idea of having to go back through the prompts for all 250 columns whenever there is a change to the table layout. Are there any BCP format file editors available? Or is it not very difficult to maintain the format file myself in a text editor? I am working in a Windows/DOS environment with Sybase NLM (for Novell). Sun, 05 May 1996 02:26:37 GMT.
